Version: 2026-10-19. This policy describes data processing when using e-turan.org.
1. Operator and contact
The operator is the individual UMANI HƏCƏR EMİN QIZI, located in Bakı, Azərbaycan. Telephone: +994503411716. Contact: https://e-turan.org/en/contact/. Intended email: [email protected]. Incoming mail for this address was not connected when this version was prepared; for now use the telephone or website contact form. The E-TURAN brand alone does not establish legal-entity or accreditation status.
2. Data processed
Account data includes your name, email, cryptographic password hash, language, verification and consent records. A scientific profile may contain your organization, degree, specialization and ORCID; submissions may contain authors, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, files and versions. Depending on the service chosen, conference registration and attendance, membership applications, photographs, electronic documents and QR verification records are processed. Contact forms receive a name, email, subject and message; subscriptions receive an address, language and confirmation. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information or identity-document copies.
3. Purposes and grounds
Data supports account security, scientific editorial workflows, chosen events and membership services, document verification and responses to enquiries. The ground for a particular operation may be performance of the chosen service, separate consent, a security interest or a legal obligation; the applicable ground depends on the circumstances. News subscription is separate and optional, not a condition of creating an account. Acknowledging this policy is not blanket consent to future purposes or advertising.
4. Public and restricted information
An approved publication may disclose author names, affiliations, ORCID and publication metadata. Submitters must be authorized to provide co-author details. Unpublished manuscripts, confidential reviews, membership photographs and personal documents are restricted by access permissions. Public QR pages show information intended for verification; sharing a QR link allows others to view that verification information.
5. Technical services and international processing
Cloudflare provides traffic delivery and security; Brevo sends email. Recipient addresses, message content and technical delivery information may be sent to the email service. Server infrastructure and backups also store data. These services may process information outside your country; the operator is responsible for applicable legal grounds and safeguards. External services also apply their own policies when you access them. The platform has no functionality for selling data on advertising exchanges.
6. Cookies and video
Technical cookies support account sessions and CSRF protection. Language is determined by the URL. Cloudflare may use technical cookies depending on enabled protection. The platform does not install advertising trackers. A YouTube or Vimeo gallery player is added only after you choose the load button; the provider may then receive IP and browser information. Closing a video removes the player but does not reverse an earlier transfer.
7. Retention and security
Data is retained while needed for the chosen service, account or unfinished process. Further retention is assessed against legal obligations, disputes, security and the integrity of the scientific archive. The operator considers deletion or anonymization of unnecessary data; automatic deletion of every record is not promised. Immediate physical removal from backups and immutable publication records may be restricted. HTTPS, access roles, password hashing and restricted file access are used; absolute security is not guaranteed.
8. Rights and requests
Subject to applicable law, you may contact the operator about information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent and other rights. News subscriptions can be cancelled using the email link. For account requests the operator may verify identity only as necessary; do not send passwords or excessive documents through an open form. Requests are assessed within applicable legal time limits. Your right to approach a competent supervisory authority or court remains unaffected.
9. Decisions and changes
File and security checks may be automated, but scientific acceptance, membership and document issuance do not constitute automatic guarantees of eligibility or accreditation. Changes are published with a new version and date. Where a new purpose requires separate consent, previous consent does not replace it. Questions about actual processing may be sent through the contact channels above.
